Our environmental mission is to accelerate the adoption of Net Zero homes
To achieve this, we will follow the same three principles in achieving Net Zero in all aspects of our emissions. In priority order, these principles are:
Reduce first
Net Zero can't be achieved if energy use is not optimised, so we have to be as energy efficient as possible.
Upgrade second
Adopt new technologies that utilise new fuels or reduce energy use.
Offset third
Offset what's left in meaningful, high-quality schemes.
Our Sustainability
We’re committed to growing our business sustainably.
Over the years we have undertaken multiple actions to reduce our emissions. In 2022, we completed a full carbon footprint analysis to help us set further targets for emission reductions. Our shorter-term target is to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 42% by 2030.
This sits alongside our wider sustainability strategy, looking at not just the sustainability of our immediate operations, but the influence our brands can have in advancing sustainability and Clean Power in the UK more broadly, which is a major focus on how we develop our products and services for consumers.
